ABOUT MY WORKS    -   CHINTAN ZALAVADIA

In my works I always tried to depict figures as my main point of interest in various formations as

they appeard to me.Since I was in the second year of my diploma, drawings has been main focus

in my paintings.Mixed up with coloured forms those drawings depicts themselvs, rather any story in

my works. As I personaly bealive that I can depict my ideas through my works without telling any

stories. For me it is more important to show figures in lines and colours in as many deferent outlooks

as I can.

Earlier my drawings used to tend as some cubist or eadgy formation but as time passed by

it started to take a turn into some soft and rounded formation. As I was very unhappy with the works

in cubist pattern, because the proportion of hand and face were not very satisfactory. But when my

works tend to ged some soft and round form this disproportion had gone and now it is very complete

to me.

In my works there is an unique figure proportion is showed, where I stressed on the conture

line and body parts like hand, torso, legs. There the lower portion of the body(legs and hips) is larger

than the upper portion of the body(head, shoulder and hands).Where I did not leave any space in-

bitween head and shoulder.Earlier in my works eyes and nose were to be like normal human being

but as my works changed that proportion changed. So in the later works of mine people see three

eyes somewher even no nose and some where even no eyes. Now I'm trying to put some variation to

my colour aplication too.

As I used to work in a time bound the extra houres in our exam period helped me very much.

The extra houres got me extra thoughts and extra spirit to do some extra experiment within my

works. In FAMILY PHOTOGRAPH I enjoyed the journy most.Because it was started earlier in the

starting of my final year and ended in the end of that year.It took a whole year to get finished.Earlier

there were many lines used to come in the back ground but as time passed by it was replaced by

using of flat colours. So when it was started and when it was ended there was a vast change in the

painting. In my point of view it is my most successful painting.
